Adult & Senior Care FAQ

Adult & Senior Care Frequently Asked Questions

Homecare is a combination of companionship, medical assistance, and household help. In other words, exactly what millions of seniors, patients, and their families need when they lose some of their strength and mobility but want to live at home with freedom, dignity, and respect.

There is no easy answer to this question because every homecare patient and client is different. Some need 24-hour care and supervision, while others only require a visit for a few hours once or twice a week. Contact Visiting Hearts today to discuss care options, payment plans, and other common questions.

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to caregivers and in-home service agencies. However, Visiting Hearts is one of the only to have an over 8-year track record of excellence. We believe that personal, friendly, one-on-one service is just as important as medical and industry certifications and it shows.

Our caregivers can be nurses, aides, or other trained and certified personnel. We only hire the best, meaning men and women who aren’t just competent but also share our commitment to providing the very best in friendly, professional service.

How we can help depends on your situation. From medical supervision to laundry and other light housework, we want to do whatever we can to give you the freedom you deserve and make your life easier for patients and their families.

Every situation is different, but homecare can be a great idea for seniors and others who need constant supervision, when a patient has a need for companionship, or when you would simply feel better having someone with the right training around the house.

There are several advantages to working with Visiting Hearts for your homecare needs. Not only do we accept all major insurance and VA benefits, but we also carefully screen new employees to ensure you only work with the very best. And, with our large and diverse team, we can provide more consistent coverage than a single individual would be able to.

Of course. Many of our caregivers are fluent in Spanish, and we have team members that speak many other languages (like French, Italian, and Japanese) as well. Let us know if you feel most comfortable in a language other than English and we’ll find a caregiver who can help.

Unlike a lot of other homecare agencies, Visiting Hearts doesn’t require any minimum number of weekly or monthly hours. Simply let us know what kind of help you need, and when, and we’ll schedule a caregiver who can make your life easier.

Certainly. We work with dozens of veterans and their surviving spouses to take advantage of VA benefits. You can see basic eligibility requirements here, or speak with a member of our team to see what benefits you might be able to take advantage of.

Visiting Hearts caregivers have experience working with special needs children and those with disabilities and recognize they call for a unique approach. Speak with us today to see how we can help.

Our team of care providers can assist those who have been injured on the job in a number of ways, including full-time or part-time assistance with rehabilitation, housework, and more.

Visiting Hearts works with all major insurers. If you have questions about what types of homecare will be covered under your policy, feel free to contact us now and let us investigate the details for you.

Visiting Hearts services patients and their families throughout the Arizona area. If you want to find out whether we have caregivers near your neighborhood or not, the best option is to simply contact us and let a member of our team get the answers you need.

Although we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to send a caregiver for a same-day appointment, we are often able to accommodate last-minute requests. Contact us if you have questions about a specific date or time.

While we do have agreements for our patients and their families, Visiting Hearts  contracts aren’t restrictive and don’t obligate you to work with us for the long term. We are confident you’ll come back because you love the level of service we provide, not because it’s in the fine print.

Although we take great care to hire only the very best and most caring nurses and professionals, not every match is a perfect one. Simply let us know that you would prefer to work with a different caregiver and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request immediately.
